Portal 2 And Left 4 Dead To Be Added To Backwards Compatibility List Today

Two high profile games were announced for the Xbox One Backwards Compatibility feature today and interestingly enough, both of these games came from Valve. According to a tweet from Major Nelson, you can expect to play Left 4 Dead and Portal 2 on your Xbox One later today.

Originally announced during Microsoft’s E3 2015 press conference, the backwards compatibility feature has enabled approximately 200 Xbox 360 games to be playable on Xbox One. The feature has enabled promotions where publishers can offer full games as a preorder incentive for newer titles. For example, the upcoming Gears of War 4 will include the entire Xbox 360 series for a limited time.
