Earlier this year, Nintendo and Game Freak announced Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield, the next mainline Pokémon games. Today, they held a new Pokémon Direct focused on showing off some of the new critters you’ll be collecting, the world of the games, the new legendary Pokémon and more. They also announced the Pokémon Sword and Shield release date.

The new legendary Pokémon are named Zacian and Zamazenta. One is a wolf-like creature with a sword in its mouth, the other armored like a shield. You can take a look at these new legendary Pokémon below:
From the official description for these two:
Zacian attacks so gracefully that its movements can even captivate its opponents. It holds what appears to be a sword in its mouth. Zamazenta’s regal and majestic movements overwhelm any opponents that dare face it. Its body is covered in what seems to be a shield.

With the Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield release date confirmed, we now know that the games will release on November 15th, 2019, exclusively for the Nintendo Switch.
