Pokemon The Movie: I Choose You will be making its eagerly-anticipated journey to western theaters this November.
The Pokemon Company International is working in collaboration with Fathom Events to bring Pokemon The Movie: I Choose You to the west. The movie will be shown for two days only on Sunday, November 5 and Monday, November 6. The companies have yet to reveal participating theaters and showtimes, but details should be released soon.
Pokemon The Movie: I Choose You was released July 15 in Japan. It is the 20th movie in the Pokemon franchise and the first within the Sun and Moon series. The movie’s plot revolves around the retelling of the Indigo League Saga, and was created to coincide with the 20th anniversary of the anime series.
The film has drawn some criticism from hardcore fans, however. It strays from the original storyline in that it replaces fan favorites Brock and Misty with two new companions: Makoto and Souji.
