PlatinumGames has a reputation for developing amazing action focused games that truly capture players hearts with storytelling and gameplay that is second to none. It is great to see their passion and hard work pay off in a big way with the success of Nier Automata. Today, game designer Isao Negishi revealed in a official blog post that Nier Automata has officially sold over 4 million copies. He then went on to share letters and art from various members from within the development team. It was very cool to see so many of the developers get to have a voice in this blog post, and it is well worth a read even if you are not a fan.
Nier Automata originally launched back in 2017 on PC and PlayStation 4, with an Xbox One launch coming later in 2018. To say this game was a hit for PlatinumGames is an understatement. The future looks bright for the company with many games in the pipeline to come such as Babylon’s Fall, Astral Chain, and Bayonetta 3 all in development currently. We cannot wait to see what this team can bring to the table next.
