While news of the rumored Lumia 950 and Lumia 950XL remain elusive, Microsoft may be releasing several different models of Windows 10 phones at varying price points according to an article published by International Business Times. One of these devices is said to be an entry level phone dubbed the Lumia 550 and the good people at WMPoweruser have not only confirmed that the phone exists but have also brought up some images ad a list of device specifications.
The casing for the Lumia 550 is said to come in a choice of four colors like the blue variant shown above.
As far as appearances go, the Lumia 550 looks very typical for a smartphone in its class. Peek inside though and you will find the phone packs a quad-core SnapDragon 210 processor. This suggests that the Lumia 550 will come with a modest price tag, possibly around $100 USD. While the 1.2Ghz clockspeed is not particularly powerful compared to modern devices, the processor is LTE enabled and can support resolutions up to 720p which is more evidence that Microsoft is targeting a low price point. Bluetooth 4.1 and WiFi 802.11n are also possible with the SnapDragon 210 processor but have not yet been confirmed for the Lumia 550. The phone is said to sport a 4.7 inch AMOLED screen and 8GB of internal storage. No word yet regarding a memory card slot or camera resolution but the SnapDragon 210 is known to support up to 8MP. My guess is that the Lumia 550 will sport a 5MP camera.
