Phil Spencer Will Be Onstage for the First Ever E3 PC Gaming Show

What is the PC Gaming show as E3? It is the first time the PC platform will have its very own conference at E3 with participates ranging from Blizzard to Square Enix and .. now Microsoft. Yes, Phil Spencer will take the stage and present Windows 10, Direct X12 and the Xbox gaming platform.

In his interview with PC Gamer, Phil Spencer said “For us, the PC Gaming Show is the ideal place to speak directly to PC gamers, and it’s a great time to talk about Windows 10 – the best operating system we’ve ever created for gamers on PCs.”

As we have seen in Windows 10 presentations earlier in the Microsoft is really pushing Windows 10 a the platform for Xbox services and feature. Phil Spencer continued, ” With Windows 10, we’re bringing the best of Xbox with the best of Windows gaming, including Xbox Live and the new Xbox app, Game DVR for nearly every game, and DirectX 12 for better gaming graphics and performance.”

PC Gamer followed up an interview with Phil about his presence at the PC Gaming Show which included some tidbits of info such as Phil Spencer commenting, “we want to make clear that when we talk about Xbox going forward, we’re talking about gaming on all Windows 10 devices – PCs, tablets, phones, Xbox One and HoloLens. And we’ll talk about some of the games we have coming to the PC this year”

This is great news for Xbox fans and addresses concerns that the Xbox E3 presser will be all about Windows 10. I think the whole mantra of Xbox being a platform for gaming on any of your devices is an evolution of the gaming environment, it is not about are you playing on a Xbox One or PlayStation 4, it is about am I playing on a Windows platform, which spans the globe a million times more than a dedicated console.Although some Xbox fans might not like such a thought, just think, when windows 10 arrives, all your PCs and Windows tablets become Xbox Ones. That sound cools to me.
