Ori and the Blind Forest was one of the most beloved games of last year; the game won over the hearts of both critics and gamers with its great gameplay, stunning graphics/music and charming story. Physical collectors will now be able to proudly display the game on their shelves as a physical copy is hitting store shelves on June 14.
Moon Studios CEO, Thomas Mahler, had this to say: “Since we released Ori and the Blind Forest, we’ve received many mails, tweets and requests from fans asking for a boxed retail release, so we’re extremely pleased to finally make everyone’s wish come true,” … “We hope that all of you will be pleased with what we’ve put together for this retail release of Ori and the Blind Forest Definitive Edition. We can’t wait to finally see Ori and the Blind Forest on shelves and we once again want to thank all of our fans and everyone who supported Moon and Ori over the last few years – we’re deeply humbled and appreciative, thank you so much!”
The game will be available in two editions, a standard and a limited. Both games will feature the definitive edition of the game which has additional gameplay segments that weren’t in the original game. The standard edition will be like a normal Xbox One game but with the inclusion of a poster. The limited edition will have a steel box case, a CD containing the game’s soundtrack, 2 posters and 2 postcards. The standard edition will retail for $19.99 and the special edition will retail for $29.99.
Ori and the Blind Forest is available for download now on Xbox One and Steam. The physical copies are set to release on June 14.
