Twelve years. It’s been 12 long years since the One Piece manga created by mangaka Eiichiro Oda has reigned supreme as the number one manga in Japan. Unfortunately, like most things in life, all good things must come to an end. The hit phenomenon Demon Slayer has now taken over Japan by selling the most volumes for the year 2019. Now some of you may be wondering why this is such a big deal. Well, One Piece is pretty much king in Japan where its hard for most series to even come close to the number of sales that One Piece generates yearly and for a brand new book to come and outsell this juggernaut is astonishing.
