During today’s Pokemon direct fans witnessed the announcement of the first-ever expansion packs for a Pokemon game. Players also saw the announcement of Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Rescue Team DX. This is a recreation of the original Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team and Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Blue Rescue Team. These original games were released on the Nintendo DS and Game Boy Advance over 15 years ago. I actually skipped these games, I’m looking forward to trying this new version out.

Right now players can go to the eShop and download a demo of the game. Players who have no clue what this game is about, take a peek at the trailer below and look at this description from Nintendo.com:

“You can meet and recruit Pokémon in a dungeon-crawling adventure within their world! Build a rescue team to take on mysterious, changing dungeons and strategically plan your moves as you venture forth to make the Pokémon world a safer place…and uncover your true purpose along the way.”

If players enjoy the demo they can pre-order the game right now. The release date is set for March 6th, 2020. One nice thing about the demo is that all your progress will carry over to the actual games released version. It’s always nice to see companies doing this with their demos.
