Nintendo has updated their E3 website with a few details about their upcoming presentation. It seems that once again Nintendo is opting for a video presentation for their E3 2018 media briefing and as you probably guessed, it will focus on upcoming games for the Switch. Fear not, 3DS owners. Nintendo promises that the venerable handheld will still get new games this year and in 2019. I expect most of those to be announced in future Nintendo Direct presentations, however.
Details about the games lineup for Nintendo’s E3 2018 presentation are scarce but they did confirm that we will see more of Super Smash Bros. for the Switch.
The video presentation will be streamed on Tuesday, June 12th at 9 a.m. Pacific Time. That is Nintendo’s customary time slot at E3. After the presentation you can expect to see live streams of upcoming games during the entire E3 event. You can watch all of it right here though Nintendo will also likely upload lots of videos to the official YouTube channel.
It isn’t all about the media, though. There are two serious Nintendo competitions on June 12th as well. The Splatoon 2 World Championship finals will be held on that day and right after that the Super Smash Bros. Invitational 2018 will begin. Watch players from all over the world slug it out with all of your favorite Nintendo characters.
Don’t forget that The Inner Circle is sending a team to cover E3 2018 and our writers will be bringing you the news from Nintendo and all of the other companies from the conference. Come back to ticgn.com to see all our E3 coverage.
