What’s up everybody and welcome to the Nintendo News Roundup. Did you miss any of the news regarding Nintendo this week? Well, look no further. Here you’ll find the important news, not so important news, and Nintendo things that are just news to me.
Nintendo 3DS family sells over 60 million units worldwide
Looks like the Nintendo 3DS is proving its longevity and popularity, unlike its disappointing cousin the Wii U. In a statement release by Nintendo PR they said:
May was a milestone month for the Nintendo 3DS family of systems. Having recently passed 60 Million units worldwide, the current generation’s top-selling dedicated-gaming platform welcomed an entirely new audience with a lower suggested price of $79.99 for the Nintendo 2DS system. This big value has already shown big results. According to the NPD Group, which tracks U.S. video games sales, in May the system saw a 38 percent sales boost over April and a 148 percent increase year-on-year — all after just one week at the new price.
Bravo Nintendo. The 3DS is a great system with some really good games. Hopefully they can keep the success going. I know the sales will only increase when Pokémon Sun and Moon come out this Fall. You can read the entire PR statement right here.
Official Nintendo Treehouse E3 schedule announced
On e3.nintendo.com Nintendo has announced it’s E3 schedule for Treehouse live. Starting at 9 AM PT on June 14, opening the show is going to be Pokémon Sun and Moon gameplay (seems a bit odd considering all anyone wants to see is the new Zelda game). Followed immediately after that will be the game everyone has bought their Wii U for: The Legend of Zelda for Wii U. Hopefully we’ll finally get a release date and and the subtitle for the newest entry in the Zelda franchise.
On the second day (June 15) Nintendo will be starting at 10 AM PT. The livestream will open with a Pokémon GO Q&A with the developers of the game. The rest of the day will be dedicated for streaming more upcoming games to include: the new Monster Hunter, Dragon Quest VII, and Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE. Kirby Planet Robobot available today
Kirby Planet Robobot releases today, the much anticipated (?) sequel to Kirby Triple Deluxe. Join Kirby and friends in a brand new side-scrolling adventure and this time you get a dope robot to move around in. I, for one, am always excited to see a new traditional Kirby game. They may be easy, but I’ve always had a lot of fun will them.

Nintendo Street Pass Week
Nintendo has announced an E3 2016 edition for Nintendo street pass. From June 10-19 you can collect up to six street pass tags in North America. All you need to do get all six tags is to bring your Nintendo 3DS to the nearest Nintendo Zone location to you. Don’t know where any are?
