Updated- Currently people on Twitter are saying they can access the eShop now. Even Nintendo of Europe is posting that the eShop is back. It doesn’t say if all the regions are working at the moment. I bet it wont be much longer until everyone can enjoy the eShop.

Currently the Nintendo eShop is down. The company posted a tweet more then a few hours ago apologizing to the players and letting them know that they are trying to work out the bugs.
We apologize for any issues you may be experiencing with Nintendo eShop. We are working on it and hope to have this resolved soon.

If you go through and read the comments everyone seems extremely positive about the whole thing. You can bet that plenty of players recently received a 3DS or Switch today. Once everything is up and running we here at TiCGN.com will let you know. Thankfully Xbox Live and Playstation are both working today. Hope everyone is having a great time today.
