Normally a new Xbox One update brings new and exciting features with it. However this update comes with a different kind of excitement. It doesn’t come with any new features at all, but instead as Major Nelson puts it via his twitter “Just a few behind the scenes changes to prepare for the future.”
What could that mean, coming at a time where E3 is only a week away? Perhaps it has something to do with the dashboard to properly integrate the upcoming Windows 10 update. What could be even more interesting is the introduction of Direct X12 to the Xbox one. It will allow games to run faster and have richer visuals.
There hasn’t been any confirmations yet, hopefully all will be revealed at Microsoft’s E3 press conference on Monday, June 15, starting at 9:30 AM PDT / 12:30 PM EDT. Let us know what you think in the comments.
