Jon Bernthal (The Walking Dead, Wolf of Wall Street, Fury) has been cast to play fictional anti-hero and badass extraordinaire, Frank Castle, aka The Punisher in Netflix Original Series ‘Marvel’s Daredevil’. The Punisher is a popular Marvel vigilante who uses any means necessary to clean up the streets of New York.
Fans of the show may remember Bernthal as Shane Walsh from the acclaimed AMC series, ‘The Walking Dead’.
“Jon Bernthal brings an unmatched intensity to every role he takes on, with a potent blend of power, motivation and vulnerability that will connect with audiences,” said Jeph Loeb, Marvel’s Head of Television. “Castle’s appearance will bring dramatic changes to the world of Matt Murdock and nothing will be the same.”
Season one of ‘Daredevil‘ is currently streaming only on NETFLIX.
