Adding to the narrative that Forza is in fact the best selling racing franchise, Turn 10 released their latest blog discussing the future of the Forza Franchise. With the latest Xbox One exclusive Porsche Expansion available on Xbox One right now, they showed the latest Lamborgini Centenario which will feature on the cover of the next Forza game.
They also noted that more than 10 Million Unique fans have played Forza on Xbox One alone, across Forza Motorsport 5, Forza Horizon 2 and Forza Motorsport 6, making it the best selling Racing franchise on next generation without a doubt.
Lamborghini’s legendary vehicles are among the most popular in Forza’s stable with more than five million players spending nearly 60 million hours racing in Lamborghinis. The Lamborghini Centenario will join an already robust roster of 14 unique Lamborghini vehicles featured in the award-winning Forza franchise on the Xbox One. Every Lamborghini is showcased in Forzavista™ detail, meaning that each features working doors and headlights as well as fully drivable cockpits. Forza remains the best-selling racing franchise of the current video game console generation, and more than 10 million unique fans have played Forza games on Xbox One, making it the most played racing franchise on Xbox One.
Microsoft also noted that Forza Motorsport 6 sold ‘well over 1 Million units’ on Xbox One, and with their recent announcement, the Forza franchise will also now feature on Windows 10, with the Forza Motorsport Apex series. They also noted that the next Forza game will be announced at E3 2016, which is but a few months away.
