Yesterday it was announced in a post by Senior Producer, Sara Jansson, that Mirror’s Edge Catalyst will be delayed till May 24, 2016. She stated that “We will use these few extra months to make sure that when you step into the massive City of Glass and experience the rise of Faith, it’s as entertaining, impressive, and memorable as it can be.” It was also stated “We’re building the most immersive action-adventure game with fluid movement and combat in first person.”
The first game, Mirror’s Edge, launched back in November 11, 2008 receiving praise from gamer’s and critics. Mirror’s Edge Catalyst was announced at E3 2013 as a prequel to Mirror’s Edge showcasing the origins of Faith, the main protagonist. It was also confirmed to be using the new Frostbite 3 engine along with more refined combat mechanics. Mirror’s Edge Catalyst launches May 24, 2016.
