The head developer of Mass Effect 4, Chris Wynn, commented on Twitter that the next Mass Effect game is not a prequel. He also noted that it is not necessarily a sequel either. Wynn also responded that he is unable to comment on whether or not the game’s title will be Mass Effect 4, leading to speculation that Bioware or Electronic Arts have not yet settled on a title.
Wynn’s comments have caused gamers to wonder if the new game will be a reboot or even a side story set within the timeline of the first three games.
