Microsoft have announced a tool for us who loves living on the bleeding edge today. The new Windows 10 update management tool allows you to disable some of the mandatory updates that may mess up your system like the latest Nvidia drivers that rolled out to Windows Insiders recently.
However this is just a tool for the Fast ring testers (Slow ring will get delayed updates after Fast ring tested them properly). Windows 10 upgraders and some paranoid people out there can rest in peace knowing that every update in future will have been tested thoroughly by us Fast ringers. Microsoft announced that their new Update schedule will feature a fast and slow ring, with Slow ring (default) getting non time critical updates after it’s been run through Fast ring. All updates will be mandatory for Windows 10 Home users, and Windows 10 Business and Enterprise getting a bit more control over how updates are rolled out to their systems.
You can download the new management tool today (Windows Update Package KB3073930) from Windows Update right now if you feel you need more control over updates that may mess up your system, or you might as well move to Slow ring if you can’t handle Fast Ring.
Windows 10 is launching within the next few days and will be free for all Windows 7 and 8.1 users. Check out our website for more news and reviews as the update rolls out.
