Hellraid is not dead in the water or hell fire. Hellraid is being developed by Techland, the fine makers of Dying Light. For those who don’t remember Hellraid is the first person co-op slasher adventure, that features a single player story driven campaign and a co-operative multiplayer that sees 4 players taking on the forces of hell and each other. The game is a combination of RPG, FPS and online dungeon crawler.
According to CEO Pawell Marchewka, in an interview with Eurogamer, “Right now we want to concentrate on Dying Light. We wanted to be fair with the fans so we wanted to send a clear message, especially as a lot of the people were expecting new things coming from Hellraid at E3 and Gamescom. We decided to take the pressure away.” He goes on to say when they have delivered all that Dying Light has to offer, their focus will shift to Hellraid.
Even without a firm release date, players of Dying Light will know this a good thing and can look forward to rewarding and brutal combat.
