In all honesty I just can’t get enough of Agent Peggy Carter. This week, in an interview with the shows producers, we gained a better idea of what to expect from the second season of the hit show on ABC. Not only do we hear more about the setting and plot, but it is now officially confirmed that season 2 will have a female villain. In fact they have said they have made a casting already. No details of course as it’s early days still.
With season 2 the producers want to take the 40s theme to Hollywood, in part, following Howard Stark as he sets up his West Coast operations. This will presumably bring us into contact with our villainess.
She was a ‘40s siren actress who was also a scientific genius, so that’s part of what we’re mining with this character.
A large part of season 1 also concentrated on the death of Steve Rogers a.k.a Captain America. In the final episode we see her come to terms with his loss however, and this will carry over into season 2. It will also mean we get to see a much happier Peggy in the future and that’s always a good thing!
…the nice thing is you will see a much lighter Peggy, one who is ready for the adventure of her job and potentially the adventure of a new relationship.
