Microsoft’s remastered strategy game, Halo Wars: Definitive Edition will be released on Steam later this week. There is already a page for the game on Steam and the price is said to be $19.99 but that has not been officially announced yet.

There is no word on when or if the recently released sequel, Halo Wars 2 will also be made available on Steam.

It is important to note thatĀ online play for the Steam version is limited to that network; there is no cross-play feature for the Windows 10 version. That said, the Steam version of Halo Wars: Definitive Edition supports Steam achievements, cloud saves, trading cards and controller support.

Halo Wars: Definitive Edition offers improved graphics, a new set of achievements and all of the DLC from the original Xbox 360 release. It was offered as an incentive for ordering the new game in the series, Halo Wars 2.
