With Halo 5: Guardians inching closer day by day, 343i has finally revealed what the new Warzone ‘Req Pack’ add ons will cost you in game. Req Packs are additional content such as helmets and kill animations which you could use in the Multiplayer mode. 343i made it very clear early on that all content you can buy will be available by grinding it out.
All req packs can be bought with “Req Points’ which you will earn by playing WarZone, the new Multiplayer mode in Halo which has everyone excited. 343i states that you can earn atleast 2000RP (req points) per game played in Warzone. But for those who don’t want to play a few games first before they can unlock specific weapons, they can use real world currency to purchase these packs. There are three levels you can buy into namely Bronze, Silver and Gold.
- In-game currency cost: 1250 RP
- Real-world money cost: not offered
- In-game currency cost: 5000 RP
- Real-world money cost: $2
- In-game currency cost: 10,000 RP
- Real-world money cost: $3
As explained by 343i, these items have no material effect on the actual game, since everyone starts with the same ‘loadout’. As you play you gain points, which will allow you to access certain items in your req packs. You cannot access your req packs if you just started, so team work and your skill is a much needed requirement to gain enough experience points in games to get that awesome weapon. This is a much needed requirement which will ensure that everyone has an equal chance of winning.
Halo 5: Guardians is launching October 27th and recently went gold. You can pre-order the ‘Most Anticipated Game’ right now on Xbox Live, or pick up the exclusive Halo 5 Custom console.
