Hiro Mashima, the author of Fairy Tail continues to drop bombs. Along with the announcement of the anime returning this Fall comes the news that he will launch a new manga series this year in Kodancha’s Weekly Shonen magazine. The series is expected to ship on June 27th.

However, Hiro Mashima wasn’t done just yet. He also announced on his official twitter account that he will be doing a sequel to Fairy Tail which you can see below.
フェアリーテイル本編の続編にあたるスピンオフの漫画ともう一本別のスピンオフ漫画の制作が決定しました。

Hiro Mashima also announced that a spin-off manga is also in the works, although he didn’t say whether he will be directly involved with the sequel or the spin-off. Don’t worry – as soon as more information is revealed we will let you know.
