It’s the best time of the year for fighting game fans; Evolution, the Super Bowl of fighting game tournaments, and Killer Instinct is there in full force. Right before the grand finals, Iron Galaxy took to the stage to reveal the next character in season 3, Eyedol.
Eyedol was the final boss in the original Killer Instinct all the way back in 1994. Fans have been wanting to see the two-headed monster return ever since, but it didn’t seem likely. The guys over at Microsoft and Iron Galaxy have been adamant that they didn’t want to see the character come back; this was all apart of a ruse the developers were pulling on fans. Microsoft Studios creative director, Adam Isgreen, had this to say on Twitter.

Eyedol will be available for Ultra Edition owners on July 22nd and Combo Breaker owners on July 29th. Killer Instinct is available now on Xbox One and Windows 10.
