Ubisoft has announced that Xbox One players will have a chance to enter an alpha testing stage for Ubisoft’s new open-world action-RPG The Division. Players who have pre-ordered the game’s Xbox One version will have “priority” access to an Xbox One exclusive alpha test of the game which will take place December 9th to December 12th.
The Xbox One Alpha will be the first time more than that the frenetic Dark Zone Player-vs-player experience is offered and available to the public. Ubisoft states that due to the alpha being an early build of the game that participants are asked to accept a non-disclosure agreement. This means no sharing of information, screenshots, gameplay from participants of the game’s Xbox One alpha.
The game’s alpha will be used to test server stability and also be used to acquire feedback from players to further improve the game for its upcoming beta which was originally planned for release this month, but has now been moved to early 2016. Although the Xbox One is receiving an exclusive alpha, The Division’s closed beta will be available for Xbox One, PS4, and PC players who have pre-ordered the game on the corresponding platform.
Codes for the exclusive Xbox One alpha will be sent out starting today. The download size of The Division alpha will be 23.2 GB, so make sure you have ample storage space if you get your alpha code!
In The Division New York City is ravaged by a pandemic which cause society to collapse. The Division, a unit of tactical agents, is deployed to operate and save society into the chaos New York City has plummeted into. The game will feature a dynamic environment where weather and contaminated areas will affect engagements. Enemies such as Cleaners who burn everything and everyone to try and rid the city of the virus, and a gang of escaped inmates from Riker’s Island who want control amidst the Chaos will try and take you down.
The Division is an open-world action-RPG developed by Massive Entertainment and will be released on March 8, 2016.
