Xbox Live Gold subscribers can download and play Madden 16 for free. The promotion is live right now and will last until 11:59 Pacific Time on May 2nd. If you decide that you would like to keep playing after the free trial has ended you can buy a digital copy from Xbox Live or subscribe to EA Access. All of your progress and achievements will carry over from the free trial.
These free game weekends are a nice perk for Gold subscribers but do not seem to happen often enough. Other games that have received a free weekend trial include Sunset Overdrive and Forza Motorsport 5.
