EA is Happy with EA Access on Xbox One

When EA Access came out last year on the Xbox One, it gave people the opportunity to play EA titles early, get discounts on DLC and EA titles, free Vault games (that continues to expand), and more. It has been loved by those who have opted in on the $30 USD a year/$5 USD a month service and people have wondered if it would hop on over to PS4 as well. Well EA says it “doesn’t matter” if EA Access will ever show up on PS4.

Peter Moore, EA’s Chief Operating Officer, has said in an interview with GameSpot, “It’s on Xbox One, and those customers love it. We have analytics on everything these days, and subscriber satisfaction rates are through the roof. EA Access customers get to play more, because of the Vault, they get to play early, ahead of general release date, and they get to pay less because of the discounts it offers.” In the same interview, they asked Peter if it would come to PS4. He laughed and told them to go ask Sony why EA Access won’t be on PS4. Sony has said reasoning behind EA Access not being on PS4 is because they felt it didn’t offer the content that PS Plus does to their customers.

Now EA Access works with or without Xbox Live Gold. So you can get these 13 Vault games for $30 a year, but you can’t play the multiplayer parts of those games without Xbox Live Gold. But if you do have Xbox Live Gold, just think about it for only $90 USD a year ($60 USD for Xbox Live Gold and $30 a year for EA Access) you get an expanding library of EA games and the chance to play new ones like Madden, FIFA, or Star Wars Battlefront a few days before they hit store shelves. So EA Access brings a huge value to Xbox One with The Vault, which as of this writing has 13 games in it and one of those games is Dragon Age Inquisition. You also get the Games With Gold games as well for Xbox One and Xbox 360, which adds 4 games a month to this list and the Xbox 360 Games With Gold games will be backwards compatible on the Xbox One. So in a years time by spending what would be the average cost of a collectors edition of a game you get at least 61 games to play on your Xbox One! So when it comes to deals this one sounds pretty good.
