The rumors that Activision Blizzard was porting a Diablo game to the Nintendo Switch were true after all. A joint announcement with Nintendo was made today via YouTube. Diablo III Eternal Collection will be released for the Nintendo Switch this fall. Check out the announcement trailer:
Switch owners can enjoy the base game along with the Reaper of Souls and Rise of the Necromancer DLC included. There will also be some platform exclusive content and features. If you’re a fan of The Legend of Zelda series you might enjoy having an in-game cuccoo pet, a set of wings inspired by Majora’s Mask, a Triforce portrait frame and a Ganondorf-inspired armor skin.
Activision Blizzard is taking advantage of the portability of your Nintendo Switch. In addition to online multiplayer modes you can play with up to four friends via a local wireless mode. The developers say that up to four players can play together on a single Nintendo Switch and there are even options to mix online and local friends to tackle Diablo III Eternal Collection together. As always, all of you lone wolves out there are free to play solo if you wish.
The game will launch this Fall with an MSRP of $59.99 which stings a little. On the plus side, you won’t have to grind to unlock any of the content. The campaign, expansions, all character classes, adventure mode and seasons will be available from the beginning.
