Deadpool 2 Release Date Gets Pushed Up

Deadpool 2 will make its theatrical debut a couple of weeks earlier than intended. This movie is really going to help those fans who just couldn’t wait until June to watch the movie. According to three upcoming Marvel/Fox movies have been switched around.

Deadpool 2 will now play on May 18th instead of the June 1st date. The movie will be opening the week before the troubled Han Solo movie iff the re-shoots don’t cause the movie to get pushed back. Deadpool will have to face off against the awful looking Slender Man movie. Sadly, the excellent looking film New Mutants is being pushed back. Instead of coming out on April 13th, 2018, the movie is coming out on February 23rd, 2019.

Now the site is reporting that this is the reason for the move:

Insiders say one reason for the change is for the studio to avoid having an overlap with X-Men movies in certain overseas marketplaces, where Mutants and Deadpool 2 would have been in theaters at the same time.

Finally, we can talk about that ill-fated Gambit movie. The director has left the film and it is being pushed back from February 14th to June 7th, 2019. This seems like it is a great thing for the movie to be released in the summer. Yet the movie has had so many problems that it could be pushed back so fans forget about it once we have more of an idea on how the X-Men will be brought into the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
