It’s sad when a plausible digital game is forced to fade away from online stores. The latest victim of business terms expiring is SEGA’s 2013 remake of the Sega Genesis/Mega Drive classic, Castle of Illusion: Starring Mickey Mouse.

According to the company, “Due to an expiration of business terms, SEGA will no longer be able to sell Castle of Illusion on Xbox Live, PlayStation Network, or Steam, with the current publishing arrangement coming to an end on September 2. For players who own the game, they will be able to re-download it to their respective system at any point in the future — this delisting should not prevent current owners from being able to access the game at a later time.”

After this very Friday, players that haven’t bought this game will no longer be able to obtain it on Xbox Live, Playstation Network, or Steam. Interestingly, it is not mentioned if the same thing will happen with the smartphone and tablet releases of the game. Whatever the case may be, players are going to have to act fast if they are still on the fence of Castle of Illusion. You guys only have until after Friday to see if you want to experience this slice of Disney magic. If you already own the game, you can sit back and relax since the game will still be playable for you even if it disappears from being purchasable.

Editor’s note – You can buy the game for a couple of dollars here. Our friends in the UK can get a similarly great price here.
