Update: As of March 30th Batman v Superman has passed the $500 million mark.
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice has been hounded with poor reviews by critics since it’s release this past Thursday. Time and time again the fans have proven that the critics opinion on a movie do not always matter. Batman v Superman has decimated the March box office with an international opening of 424.1 million in one weekend. Domestically the movie grossed over 170 million.
Batman v Superman has the sixth largest domestic opening weekend, the fourth highest global opening, and the highest opening in the month of March. Despite receiving a Rotten score of 29% Batman v Superman has been extremely positive with the fans. This is great news for Warner Bros and the new DC movie universe. It looks like no matter what the critics say the DC Universe is here to stay.
The next DC movie that is slated for a release is Suicide Squad with features a large cast of  DC villains fighting to save the world. Suicide Squad will be coming to theaters August 5th. Check out our review of Batman v Superman here.
