[Update: All Microsoft websites and Services back online. Xbox Live still experiencing some issues]
All Microsoft services and Websites went down for a short period of time on February 23rd, after Xbox Live seemed to have intermittend issues during the day on February 22nd. This included some complaining that their Digital Games and Apps failed to launch, requiring a local license to function.
On February 23rd, all other Microsoft services (Office.com, Outlook.com, Xbox.com and Microsoft.com) went dark. Surprisingly, Bing.com is completely functional and seems to have no issues. The Microsoft Xbox Support Website still notes that Purchase and Content Usage, Core Services and Music and Video are having issues. Social and Gaming is still functional so you should be able to play and chat with friends if your games are disc based.
Microsoft and Xbox haven’t issued a statement in regards to these online services issues, but we do hope these will be sorted in the next few hours.
