2-disc game versus a 100GB which would you prefer?

As a gamer, the choice between having a 2-disc game versus a 100GB download is a matter of personal preference. While digital downloads are convenient and often available at a lower price point, physical copies of games provide a sense of ownership and permanence. As for me, I prefer 2-disc games for several reasons.

Firstly, I dislike having to go over my data cap when downloading a game that I’ve already paid for. It can be frustrating to pay extra money just to access a game, especially for a single-player game that doesn’t require an internet connection. Additionally, I strongly believe that companies should ship complete products in physical format to avoid the need for additional downloads.

Another reason I prefer 2-disc games is that they offer a tangible product that can be played without an internet connection. With a physical copy of a game, I can enjoy it for years to come without worrying about internet connectivity issues. Moreover, I hate having to uninstall digital games to make room for new ones since it can be time-consuming.

However, digital downloads also have some advantages. They’re convenient and easily accessible. But, as a gamer, I think companies should provide an option to install part of the game on the hard drive, like Disc 1 and Disc 2, instead of forcing the entire game to be downloaded.

In conclusion, while the debate between 2-disc games and 100GB downloads ultimately depends on personal preference, I prefer 2-disc games. They provide a complete and tangible product, allowing me to play the game offline without worrying about data caps or hard drive space issues. Nevertheless, I hope game developers continue to give gamers a choice in the format they wish to play their games, whether physical or digital.
