According to an AMD blog post Hackers have stolen the source code for the Xbox Series X GPU. They are holding it ransom for a whopping $100 million Dollar. If this information is released could be a huge problem for Microsoft. Microsoft is on the verge of releasing the strongest console to be made, the Xbox Series X.
The post is stated that they were contacted in December 2019 with the stolen goods, they also seem to highlight that these stolen goods are from the new GPU so nothing related to their previous products. Since this is a semi rumor take it with a grain of salt, but don’t ignore it because this could spell a disaster for Microsoft and AMD.
Let’s hope the hackers are caught soon and Microsoft is able to go forward with the supposed release period.
