I love to start the new year off with a fun gaming rumor. This rumor seems like one of those longshots that probably won’t happen. The site Instant Gaming listed Red Dead Redemption 2 for the Nintendo Switch as a game you can pre-order eventually. It even shows a release date for the year 2020 on it.
This really doesn’t mean that the game is actually coming out. The site above could just be using it to make some money. Given that games like The Witcher 3 have been developed and brought to the Nintendo Switch is a sign it could happen. Personally I feel like Red Dead Redemption 2 would suffer on the hybrid console. It doesn’t have the processing power that the other two have and could cause the game to look and play like DOOM. Still given that we are only a few days into 2020, a rumor like this should just be fun. In fact Rockstar’s other game, Grand Theft Auto V has just been released on the Xbox Game Pass.
If this game does come to the Nintendo Switch I have a problem. Were is my handheld Madden 20 or Grand Theft Auto V? Don’t tease me with possible rumors of a game like this. Developers need to realize that this console is popular and will help them. Its possible that MLB The Show is coming to the Switch in the future now that Sony announced the game will be going multiplatform in the future. If Red Dead Redemption 2 can make the jump so can many more. What games would you like to see on the Switch? Or in fact what Nintendo games would like to see on other consoles?
