Two NES games to be added to Nintendo Switch Online library

One of the perks of subscribing to the Nintendo Switch Online service is the ability to access a growing library of NES games which can be downloaded and played on the hybrid console. There are currently about thirty-five games on the service for the North American region (players in Japan get a few more games that were released exclusively to that nation). Nintendo is going to add two more NES games to the service in January.

The first game in January will be Zelda II: The Adventure of Link. This one has turned into something of an odd duck for the franchise because of its side-scrolling perspective and brutal difficulty.

The other game for this month is one of the most remembered Sunsoft titles on the NES – Blaster Master. This is a relatively unique game with modes taking place inside of a jumping tank and you can even leave the vehicle to explore on your own in an overhead perspective.

Both of these games are very challenging and can drain quite a bit of your free time. If you decide to play them then I strongly suggest that you use your save states – especially the first time you reach Death Mountain in Zelda II.
