Black Clover Anime Launches this Fall on Crunchyroll

Black Clover is finally getting an anime after two years. There was some controversy when Black Clover released, as a lot of people felt as if the writer was making it into a Naruto Clone. At first, there was no argument. The main character had a lot of the same characteristics of Naruto and goes about things in a similar manner. After a while the manga has went in its own path, steering away from the popular series.

If you haven’t heard of Black Clover, here is a brief synopsis: In a world where magic is everything, Asta and Yuno are both found abandoned at a church on the same day. While Yuno is gifted with exceptional magical powers, Asta is the only one in this world without any. At the age of fifteen, both receive grimoires, magic books that amplify their holder’s magic. Asta’s is a rare Grimoire of Anti-Magic that negates and repels his opponent’s spells. Being opposite but good rivals, Yuno and Asta are ready for the hardest of challenges to achieve their common dream: to be the Wizard King. Giving up is never an option!

The anime is set to release in October and will be done by Studio Pierrot. This is the same studio behind Naruto, Boruto: Naruto Next Generations, Bleach, Tokyo Ghoul and more.

The hit manga began in February 2015 and has been a joy ever since. The anime will stream on Crunchyroll, though at this moment there is no information yet on how may episodes will air for its first season.
