Xbox 20/20-TICGN

Xbox has just revealed what seems to be the new startup screen for their upcoming next-generation console, the Xbox Series X. As you all know the current startup is a bit aggressive, as for the new startup it seems that they are taking a different approach. Like the reveal of the new console, the new startup is quite subtle. Take a look at what appears to be the new start-up below.

Now for what I know, we all are here for The Xbox 20/20 and the future of the brand. Jerret West, CVP, Gaming Marketing, has come out and given fans the team’s roadmap for 2020 starting with the Inside Xbox event on May 7th. During the event, we will get our first look at the official gameplay from Ubisoft’s recently announced Assasin’s Creed Valhalla. However, that’s not all says Jerret West. He goes on to say that “We’ll be confirming games that utilize our new Smart Delivery feature, which ensures that you always play the best version of the games you own for your console, across generations. And all the games you’ll see will be Xbox Series X Optimized”. So what does that mean exactly? Well, it means that “The games shown will be at 4K resolution at up to 120 frames per second, utilizing DirectStorage, hardware-accelerated DirectX raytracing, super-fast load times.”

Jerret West says “we will be showcasing what happens next in the world of Xbox, every month, which is why we’re calling it “Xbox 20/20.”  Fans can expect to see new games from Xbox Game Studios as well as new information regarding XCloud and Xbox GamesPass. In July, Fans will finally be able to see the amazing games coming from first-party studios. I’m personally loving this new aggressive take from Xbox and I for one cannot wait to see what they have up their sleeves. To tune in to Thursday’s Inside Xbox you can do so here at 8 a.m. PDT:
