Who is Focus Home Interactive? They are an up and coming Publisher that is based in Paris, France. They have published games on multiple platforms from Android, Xbox 360, PS3, Xbox One, PS4 and PC. You may recognize some of their work from some of their previous games such as Blood Bowl, Farming Simulator, Bound by Flame, Styx: Master of Shadows, Sherlock Holmes: Crimes and Punishments and Divinity Original Sin: Enhanced Edition. Now these titles that I have mentioned might not be notable titles to most of us but those among others have established the foundation for Focus. The foundation they have built has allowed them to take some risk with their upcoming titles. Here are a few of the games they have coming soon…
Up first coming from Focus this year is The Technomancer. This is a Sci-fi RPG that is set on Planet Mars and you play as a rookie Technomancer. You will be able to customize your character and choose between 3 combat styles with 4 skill trees. You will battle 4 different factions and come across many friends and foes as you complete your journey. Look for The Technomancer this June on Xbox One, Ps4 and PC.
Styx: Shards of Darkness is the follow up to Master of Shadows. This time around Styx features a bigger budget, bigger ideas and a new engine. You will encounter new enemies, new environments and gain new abilities as Styx has been forced out of hiding due to the fall of Akenash Tower. Â The new adventure is set in the city of Dark Elves and releases later this year on PS4, Xbox One and PC.
Shiness is an Action-RPG that gives the player the control over 5 unique characters as you traverse the planet of Mahera. The game features loads of exploration, puzzle solving and fast paced 1 vs 1 combat that is similar to a traditional fighting games with an added RPG flare. You will be a able to develop physical attacks and magic skills and unlock new talents and spells. Shiness looks promising and is slated to release in 2016 with platforms currently unannounced.
The last game that we know of that is due to release in 2016 is Space Hulk: Deathwing. It’s a FPS set in the Warhammer 40,000 Universe. As a Space Marine, players will lead their squad (AI or other players) through Space Hulks as librarians seeking out relics and technology. Players will be able to gain new skills, new abilities and new equipment as missions are completed. Players will soon realize that this is more than just about exploration as they encounter infestations of the lethal Genestealers.
