Visage: Survival Horror Masterpiece in the Works

Visage is a Survival Horror game currently being developed by SadSquare Studio. It is an absolutely incredible looking game from what has been teased so far. If you are a fan of the Horror game genre, this is one you need to look out for.

Imagine you are in a huge house finding out that you might not be the only one there. Entities of the previous families that once physically inhabited the house lurk around you. You must keep your stress levels low or you will find your insanity to be the death of you. Alternate worlds appear right in front of you as you open doors. Sometimes these worlds might even make you feel safer in the house. Be constantly aware of your surroundings and make sure the shadow on the ground is actually yours.

Just watching the game-play trailer, I was on edge from the eerily lifelike graphics. Wandering the large house will feel real and the figures roaming around look like something out of your nightmares. I’m sure that in VR, this game will be absolutely terrifying.

The developers have added many interesting elements to the game thus far. Reading from their Kickstarter page, almost everything is searchable and you can interact with some entities. The backers who have pledged certain amounts to the game’s development, have also been able to add their own touch. One man gets to add a side quest into the game in comic form.

In the house you will be completely defenseless against the entities around you. The events that these entities cause will be random so you will not know when to expect them. Some will follow you around relentlessly whether it’s right behind you, peeking around a corner, or playing tricks.

The house isn’t the only place you’ll be visiting though. There will be a forest, a cemetery, and what looks like some pretty crazy worlds.

I am super excited for this game. The release date was originally for 2017 but has been set back to TBA. The game will be available on PC, Xbox One, PS4, and be compatible with the VR. Updates are posted every month so if you would like to follow along you can head to their Kickstarter page.
