As we mentioned before, developer French Bread’s Under Night In-Birth EXE:Late[st] will be heading to North America and Europe. This entry in the fighting game series will be available on PS3 and Vita as well as PS4.
From an earlier announcement by PQube:
UNDER-NIGHT IN-BIRTH Exe:Late[st] takes place in a fictional modern-day Japan, where a mysterious event called Hollow Night occurs on a monthly basis. During the Hollow Night, shadowy creatures called Voids appear and attack innocent people. Survivors of these attacks sometimes develop special abilities and become known as an In-Birth. The game follows a young man named Hyde, a survivor of one of these attacks, as he becomes involved in the goings-on around the Hollow Night phenomenon.
This version of the game introduces 4 new fighters: Phonon, Mika, Enkidu and Wagner. These additions bring the roster up to 20 unique characters. The game also brings 4 new stages and the trailer boasts that the story mode includes 10+ hours of content. As one would expect from a new title, they have reworked the mechanics a bit.
As with most releases from PQube, a limited edition for the game is available via their Rice Digital storefront. Its contents include:
- The game itself
- A soundtrack with 11 tracks on one CD
- A paperback artbook with 128 pages
- 20 pin badges featuring images of each character
- A box
While the LE is not the only physical edition of the game, it will only be available via digital download on PS3 and Vita.
Under Night In-Birth EXE:Late[st] will release in North America and Europe on February 9, 2018.
