This weekend at WonderCon will all about DC Comics. Not only is it Batman’s 80th birthday on Sunday, DC also announced that over 20,000 comics will be coming to DC Universe this April. The DC Universe streaming side is growing this year with new shows being teased at this years event. Fans where given a look at Stargirl featuring Brec Bassinger in her superhero costume.

The story of Stargirl begins with Courtney Whitmore discovering her step-fathers superhero sidekick past. She soon takes up the mantle of Stargirl with her stepfather Pat Dugan on her side. Pat helps her on her adventures to becoming a superhero by piloting the 15 foot tall robot named STRIPE. Luke Wilson will be staring as step-father Pat Dugan. Also look for Joel McHale, Lou Ferrigno Jr., Brian Stapf, and Henry Thomas. Stargirl will be coming to DC Universe early next year.
Swamp Thing will be showing up on the streaming service in the next few months. Actually look for the show on May 31st. Currently fans can check out DC Universe with a one week free trial. After that it will cost $7.99 a week or $74 a year. Don’t forget to check out the teaser poster for the upcoming finale episodes of Gotham.
