Last night we had The Game Awards where Nintendo was the big winner. Now that some time has passed, I feel like the fans are the big winner. Bandai Namco has announced that Soul Calibur VI will be coming to consoles and PC.
Players will be able to jump into Soul Calibur VI for the Xbox One, PS4, and PC sometime next year. Only a few details about the game were given in the Bandai Namco press release. We do know when the game is set to take place.
Taking place in the 16th century, revisit the events of the original SOULCALIBUR to uncover hidden truths with a diverse lineup of new and returning characters with their unique fighting styles including series mainstays; Mitsurugi and Sophitia.
One of the features that will be coming to the game is the Reversal Edge. This new move will allow players clash and follow-up with powerful counter-attacks. Dalton Link, Social Media and Community Manager for Bandai Namco posted a wonderful piece on the game. Nothing was said if the consoles will have exclusive fighters or if microtransactions will be apart of this game. For now we can be excited for some fluid and poetic 1v1 combat. My hope is this game will be apart of the lineup at EVO this year. We’ll be sure to update you as soon as new information is available.
