As the current console generation is swiftly coming to an end, fans are eagerly awaiting the next wave of systems from both Sony and Microsoft. Needless to say, we all want to know when these consoles are coming out so we can get our pre-orders in. Unfortunately, there is no official release date as of yet. However, Sony has given us a timetable as to when fans can expect the next-gen PlayStation. Sony has officially announced that the PlayStation 5 will release in holiday 2020.
Sony has also come out to talk about the brand new controller that will be shipped with the console as well. Stating that they are “adopting haptic feedback to replace the “rumble” technology”. Also, they will be adding in “adaptive triggers” in the L2/R2 buttons. This way players will be able to feel resistance in triggers when performing different actions such as drawing a bow string or accelerating off road in a vehicle.
