Rumor – Marvel vs Capcom: Infinite Full Roster Leaked?

Ever since its reveal, there’s been a small group of leakers over at NeoGaf giving fans hints about Marvel vs Capcom: Infinite. So far these guys have been playful about their hints, rarely revealing stuff outright. But something must have changed as they may have just leaked the game’s entire launch roster.

The leaker in question leaked the game’s existence before its reveal last December. He also leaked a bit of information about the news we got in late April. He clearly has accurate sources giving him information on Infinite‘s  development. Today he and another leaker on the forum revealed that game will launch with only 28 characters.

Arthur (Ghosts ‘n Goblins)
Chris Redfield (Resident Evil)
Chun-Li (Street Fighter)
Dante (Devil May Cry)
Firebrand (Ghosts ‘n Goblins)
Jedah (Darkstalkers)
Monster Hunter (Monster Hunter)
Morrigan (Darkstalkers)
Nemesis (Resident Evil)
Ryu (Street Fighter)
Spencer (Bionic Commando)
Strider Hiryu (Strider)
X (Mega Man X)

Ant-Man
Captain America
Captain Marvel
Doctor Strange
Gamora
Hawkeye
Hulk
Iron Man
Nova
Rocket/Groot
Spider-Man
Thanos
Thor
Ultron

He goes onto say that he doesn’t know the last Capcom character, though he thinks it’ll be Dead Rising‘s Frank West. He later added that Venom will be in the game as DLC. Many fans feared that Infinite would have a small roster and it appears their fears came true. This roster has some questionable picks such as Nemesis and Firebrand, if those two are revealed it should give credibility to the entire leak.

The complete lack of any X-Men characters will leave many fans disappointed; especially since the X-Men have always been an integral part of the Marvel vs Capcom series. The game not having any X-Men is assuredly due to Marvel, not Capcom. The company has given the mutants the cold shoulder in recent years due to Fox owning the franchise’s film rights. However, Marvel is finally warming up to the X-Men again as new comics, merchandise and appearances in mobile games (such as Marvel: Future Fight) are finally being made. It seems like the X-Men are missing Infinite‘s launch roster due to the game starting production during the “X-Men ban”. The NeoGaf leakers have said that X-Men will eventually be DLC for Marvel vs Capcom: Infinite.

With E3 quickly approaching, we could see whether this leak is true or not very shortly. TICGN will report on the latest Marvel vs Capcom news as it hits.
