Rocket League could be announced for Xbox One by the end of the year.

The surprise hit soccer-with-cars indie game Rocket League could be announced for Xbox One by the end of the year hints studio director Dave Hagewood from Psyonix studios. In an interview with Red Bull, the studio director was asked if it’s coming to Xbox one. “[Laughs] I can’t say, we’re looking at all kinds of platforms and there may be some announcements coming up at some point. Hopefully before the end of the year, but I can’t confirm that.” It was also confirmed to Gamespot on August 3 by Jeremy Dunham, the marketing VP, which Rocket League was in the process of being ported to other platforms.

Rocket League is currently exclusive to PC and PS4 and has reached over 5 million downloads across both platforms, also selling over 1 million copies on steam alone. Gamers and critics have been giving Rocket League high praise and could be considered for Indie game of the year. Look for a possible announcement by the end of the year.
