The upcoming survival-horror game Resident Evil 2 is a complete remake and re-imagining of the original Resident Evil 2, which released on January 21st, 1998. The game featured multiple unlockable modes of play, including a scenario titled The 4th Survivor and The Tofu Survivor. These modes are coming back, as Capcom has confirmed that (the upcoming) Resident Evil 2 includes The 4th Survivor and The Tofu Survivor modes. The 4th Survivor mode adds a *mysterious* character known as “the Grim Reaper” while The Tofu Survivor adds…a playable block of Tofu.
The announcement of the modes’ inclusion was made on Twitter:Â

These modes have to be unlocked, presumably by playing through the game at least once, though there could be other requirements.
It’s great to see that these classic modes will be included. Resident Evil 2 releases on PlayStation 4, PC and Xbox One on January 25th, 2019. In the meantime, there is a “One-Shot” demo currently available on all three platforms. Be careful though: as the name implies, you only get one shot to try and complete the demo.
