PUBG: The Journey to 1.0 for Xbox One

-

It is no secret that Player Unknown’s Battleground has had its fair share of up’s and downs since its launch in game preview for Xbox One back on December 12th, 2017. The game came from a very rough start, with texture pops, frame rate drops and a huge list of performance-based issues. Now, thanks to hard work in partnership between PUBG Corp and Xbox the game will be exiting the game preview program and reaching patch 1.0. This is a huge milestone for the game which reached full release on PC back on December 20th, 2017. PUBG will officially exit game preview on Xbox One on September 4th with its large 1.0 patch, which will include a new map, game mode, and custom games.  It is very exciting as a fan of PUBG to see this game exit game preview after only 9 months in the program.

For a more in-depth look at what it took to bring PUBG to Xbox One, check out this special from Inside Xbox featuring Major Nelson.  He talks with the development team about the struggles and the triumphs they had while bringing the game to Xbox One.
