Pokemon Go players will notice today that those fighting Pokemon are showing up more. Today starts the Battle Showdown event in Pokemon Go. Players will be seeing more of Mankey, Machop, Makuhita, and Meditite as the event continues until March 12th.

Part of this event allows players to collect more items when battling friends or in training battles. These are the bonuses that will be available until the end of the event.
- 2× Catch, Battle, and Raid Stardust
- 2× XP for Gym Badges
- Earn up to five rewards per day from Trainer Battles, including Rare Candy.
- Earn up to three rewards per day from challenging team leaders, including Rare Candy.
Also be on the look out for a Shiny Mankey and Shiny Machop. These two will get additions to the ever-growing amount of Shiny Pokemon you can find. The last thing to happen is the Power-Up Punch will be available for some Pokemon. Go out and have a great time during this event.
