Fallen Legion: Flames of Rebellion Heads to PS4

A while back, Fallen Legion: Flames of Rebellion released on Vita. The game acts as a counterpart to Fallen Legion: Sins of an Empire, which was released on PS4. Recently, Siliconera announced that the Flames of Rebellion is coming to PS4 as well. With this port, both sides of the story will be available on the same system. Those who already own the game on Vita will get the PS4 version for free. Along with this news, the official Twitter account mentioned that Sins of an Empire will not be heading to Vita.

After the death of the king, Princess Cecille inherits the crown along with a talking book that served as her father’s adviser. However, Cecille will not fight to save the world, but instead focuses on restoring glory to her kingdom. Meanwhile, Cecille’s former comrade Legatus Laendur leads an army of his own with the intention of overthrowing the monarchy. Each leader has their own motivations and reasons to believe they are doing the right thing. While Sins of an Empire follows Cecille’s Story, Flames of Rebellion shows Legatus’s tale.

During combat, the player commands a team of three spirit warriors along with the protagonist who provides support from the rear. Fights play out in real time, though units can only attack when at least one segment of their action gauge is full. While the gauge automatically fills over time, defending just before an attack lands will refill one segment while also negating all damage. Between battles, players must make choices that provide short term gains while also having a larger impact down the line.

The PS4 version of Fallen Legion: Flames of Rebellion launches on December 12, 2017. It is also currently available on Vita. The other side of the story, Sins of an Empire, is available now as well on PS4.
